Sally Gardner is a successful, award winning children’s novelist who has sold over 2 million books in the UK. Her work has been translated in to more than 22 languages. What you might not know about her is that she is extremely dyslexic. However, that hasn’t stopped her from writing. Her novel, ‘Maggot Moon’ (Hot Key Books 2012), won both the Costa Children’s Book Prize and the Carnegie Medal 2013.  She explained to Justin Webb on the Today programme how she thinks in pictures and wishes that we “encouraged diversity” in the brain a bit more… Watch BBC video (1’11).
